Terms of Service for FoundIt

Please read these Terms of Service ("Terms") carefully before using FoundIt ("the App"). By creating an account or using the App, you agree to these Terms.

1. Description of Service

FoundIt lets you save real-world places discovered from social media links (TikTok, YouTube, X) and other web pages, automatically identifying the place mentioned and its location, and lets you view and navigate to your saved places on a map.

2. Accounts

You must provide accurate information when creating an account and are responsible for keeping your login credentials secure. You're responsible for all activity under your account.

3. Acceptable Use

You agree not to:

Use the App for any unlawful purpose
Attempt to disrupt, overload, or gain unauthorized access to the App or its underlying services
Use the App to paste links to content you don't have the right to reference, or to scrape/harvest data at scale
Impersonate any person or entity

4. User Content

You retain ownership of the notes, photos, and other content you add to your saved places. By using the App, you grant us a limited license to store and display that content back to you as part of the Service.

5. Third-Party Content and Links

The App reads publicly available metadata from links you paste (TikTok, YouTube, X, Google, and other websites) and from Google's Places API. We don't control this third-party content and aren't responsible for its accuracy — place details, ratings, and reviews are sourced from Google and may not always be current or correct. Always verify important details (hours, availability) independently before visiting a place.

6. Disclaimer of Warranties

The App is provided "as is" without warranties of any kind, express or implied. We don't guarantee the App will be uninterrupted, error-free, or that place information will always be accurately identified or geocoded.

7. Limitation of Liability

To the fullest extent permitted by law, we are not liable for any indirect, incidental, or consequential damages arising from your use of the App, including reliance on place information (location, hours, or details) that turns out to be inaccurate.

8. Changes to the Service or Terms

We may modify or discontinue the App, or update these Terms, at any time. Continued use of the App after changes constitutes acceptance of the updated Terms.

9. Termination

We may suspend or terminate your account if you violate these Terms. You may stop using the App and request account deletion at any time.
